H_LP Advisory — Strategic Advisory
H_LP Advisory works with food, beverage, and wellness brands at inflection points — market entry, innovation bets, organizational structure. Pattern recognition built across large CPG and venture investment, on both sides of the Atlantic. Mission-based mandates, concrete outputs.
+20 years across Danone, Unilever, Pernod-Ricard — aka dairy, alc bev, grocery
What I do
Not sure which market to enter first? Which channel is actually worth your budget? Let's map it before you commit.
Which markets, which channels, which bets — so you don't do a bit of each and start committing to the right things.
Have ideas but not sure which ones to bet on — or which to kill? That's exactly the conversation.
Building a pipeline that lasts — and knowing which ideas to kill before they kill your runway.
Growing fast but decisions are getting harder? Structure, culture, and investor readiness start here.
The decisions, structure, and culture that feel obvious until they aren't — and that investors will look at before you do.
Not sure where AI fits in your business? Running a few pilots but unclear which are worth scaling?
I take the time to evaluate, test, and weigh what's actually worth committing to — so you don't scale the wrong thing.
Hélène Le Person is a Franco-American executive with deep roots in food, beverage, and wellness — across multinationals, corporate venture, and founder-led companies.
She spent over a decade building brands and innovation pipelines inside Danone and Pernod Ricard — running a $67M foodservice P&L, stewarding a $112M innovation pipeline, and scouting and evaluating 50+ startups as part of Pernod Ricard's venture arm, Convivialité Ventures. More recently, she served as VP and Chief of Staff at Shaw Bakers, a high-growth Bay Area food company.
That combination — large-scale CPG discipline, investor pattern recognition, and startup operating experience — is what H_LP Advisory is built on.
How it works
01 — Start Here
Day 1
A few guided questions — ten minutes — so the conversation that follows is actually useful.
02 — The Framing Call
Day 2–3
45 minutes. Hélène comes prepared with a sharp read of your situation and a proposed angle. No discovery theater.
03 — The Mission Proposal
Day 4–5
The question being answered, the deliverable, the timeline, the fixed fee. No retainer ambiguity, no open-ended billing.
04 — Alignment & Sign-off
Day 6–7
Review, any adjustments. NDA if the mission requires it. Then we begin.
05 — The Work
Typically 2–5 weeks
Defined sprints, agreed rhythm — WhatsApp for quick signals, Calendly for check-ins. Progress via the Weekly Signal: where we are, what just happened, what's next, what I need from you.
06 — The Handoff
End of mission
A concrete output — framework, roadmap, decision memo — plus a clear "what comes next" so nothing is left hanging.
